""Why is it so important to stay underground?

It's important for Underground Resistance to stay underground because I
think it provides inspiration for others around the world to start
organisations and not be controlled by the programmers. I can hear in
the music over the last three years that our music is influencing people
all over the world.
I like to see the effects that our music is having - I think our
listeners are much informed, and very much aware of world events,
nature, of respect. I think for Underground Resistance to go commercial
would be like me disrespecting all the people that have
supported us over the years.""

Ok, so here's the bit I don't get.

"and not be controlled by the programmers"

so, if, say someone comes to you and says, "I want that music for my
computer game", then how is that being "controlled by the programmers".

If they want it, and they don't want you to make any changes or sacrifices,
I don't see how you're being controlled by anyone?

In fact, the money gained from these things helps keep you more independant
no?

and, if he's saying this, then what are they doing licensing stuff to
rockstar then? the afore mentioned programmers (?)

not slagging anyone off or anything, cripes its a free world innit. I just
didn't really understand it thats all!

infact, I struggle to understand the whole underground/overground thing to
be honest.

anyways....
