fab. in response to your question - I like booty trax and I know there
are a few girls who like it too.

But in relation to whether there is a massive scene of it - Maybe not in
Sydney because I remember quite a few times in the past few years where
there were like, 4 girls on the dancefloor and everyone else had
cleared! (Then again there are those Tampered parties where all the
crusties chicks jump up and down to it... I don't think that counts as a
real booty).

Some people might find the lyrics offensive but I don't think it's meant
to be taken seriously, it's all for a laugh really.

Simon - cheers for the brasilian stuff. I've been trying to find music
outta brasil that wasn't DJ Marky

My mate summed up Booty really well - he said that it gets girls dancing
like nothing else and is really brilliant for about 45 minutes and if
you hear it for any longer it makes you want to kill people.

On a sorta related topic, has anybody checked out Funky Do Morro /
Favela Funk? From the ghettos of Rio, it's music made on simple rigs by
kids who grew up listening to too much Miami Bass.

http://evil-wire.org/~ampere/mp3/funky/ is the motherlode - a big old
pile of Brazilian Booty to help yourselves to. Diplo is heavily
influenced by this style.
