Well, I'm American, but I'm not Black and I'm not from da hood (thanks
Kamal for that "translation"), but ...
I LOVE BOOTY
:)
It's fun, Fun, FUN. Geddit? *FUN*. Party music *FUN*.
If you can't laugh to the Poo-Bahs, you need a humor gene transplant,
for example.
You Euros think too much.
You should've been at Motor a few years ago (2001?) for one of the
festival after-parties with Godfather et al. It was off the chain.
Speaking of "off the chain", one of the best Booty albums I've heard
was Assault's "Off The Chain In The Y2K".
Last Saturday I had to pick between John Tejada doing a live Acid
House set (which was awesome, btw - waiting for John to tell me who
has the recording of it) along with him DJ'ing old Acid like Bam Bam,
etc., vs. going to see Assault. I had to support my homeboy, but I'm
really bummed at missing Assault. We don't get much Booty out here
in da (213) and da (323) ...
Another thing to remember: a lot of Detroit-style Booty consists of
intermixing Old School Detroit classics pitched up (to like +16 :) )
in the mix. Really makes for an interesting mixture of stuff.
