Yeah Milton Keynes was a hub of hardcore activity back then. Well, has been
ever since really, for all the genres it spawned. We had the hardcore Mecca
that was the Sanctuary (massive venue, recently levelled by the bulldozers,
for better or worse), bringing kids from far and wide to go loony all night
long!
Happy Hardcore was a sound you'd hear all around, from market stalls,
neighbours' bedrooms, to souped up Novas prowling the highways and byways
of 'the city' (ha!). I just assumed though that this was the same sound
pumping out everywhere, up and down the country. Well it was wasn't it?
(sorry, can't supply any track names or artists, as I successfully
developed a finely tuned filter for shutting it out!)
