Was it a roller skate rink? I went to Dreamscape 2 or something and remember
there was a huge roller skate rink next door, but the rave was just in a
huge dusty big empty warehouse space. Think this was before it became known
as the sanctuary? I never went back, so i always assumed that the Sanctury
was this building and not the rollerskate joint next door. Not that I
actually care in any way shape or form at this point in my life so please
feel free to completly ignore this musing.

> HAPPY HARDCORE! Ha ha ha. No wonder I turned out like this.

Never quite grasped the concept of something being both happy and hardcore
at the same time to be honest. Never got into all those happy piano breaks
myself too much and much as I didnt really get into the whole gabber thing
either I did chuckle when Lenny Dee came to town for the first time and
ruined the party with a 200bpm 2 hour set of angry noise! The looks on the
faces of the happy hardcore brigade was priceless!

Its true. I guess it was around late 89 when I started going out and I
remember DJs like Grooverider playing Nu Groove, Transmat, Trax, Warp. House
one minute, techno the next, then some acid, then some Italian piano number
etc... There didnt seem to be any boundaries becuase all the music was new
to everyone.

The Eclipse rocked! Although my regualar haunt was Sterns on the South
coast. Anyone ever go there?
