I saw Stockhausen perform (sic) "Hymnem" at Sonar in 2000.
Utter rubbish.
He stood at a mixing desk in the middle of the audience,
there were no visuals, just a single spot beam pointing
to a point on the top/front of the (otherwise empty)
stage. Boring music, boring visuals - people on either
side of me fell asleep. The most interesting thing
about the whole business was seeing all the Coil guys
sitting a few rows ahead of me.
Avoid.

I think 'Hymnen' is still one of the best things he's done.
The visuals for that show do sound uninspired and I can easily imagine
people falling asleep during it, but I'm surprised to hear the music
called "boring". Longwinded, maybe, but "boring"?
