i see it as a wide spectrum too. f**k to me, at least half these new genres
around are just techno records to me.

but, there's no denying, it's been a dirty word since the early 90's
really. when I was listening to the detroit techno of the time, the
beautiful techno that I really liked, no one else called it techno. techno
was what peeps played at raves, like hardcore. not the stuff i liked.
