Did I miss that? I didn't see anything about that.

Just posted this on another forum:

I think they would do a good job if everyone got behind them. I think a lot
of the locals (especially the club-active locals) have a lot of respect for
them, and while their own bookings have been *somewhat* narrow they have
always seemed to have the good of the entire Detroit scene at heart from
what I've witnessed. My big question is 'if not them, then who?' and while I
think they are probably the best candidate from what little I've seen so
far, I know this would be an enormous undertaking and something much larger
than they've ever done. But from what I've seen I think it would be a good
thing. I think they would do everything in their power to showcase all of
electronic music, in Carl Craig's footsteps. There could be a tendential
slant towards the Canadian/German scene as is typically represented in their
bookings, but I don't believe it would be that great of a slant if they had
the support of the entire community.

But as Fred said, You gotta give props to Derrick May, KMS and the unsung
locals for making it what it should be. I didn't make it last year, but it
definitely felt like it should in 2003-2004.
