If anything a higher bit depth (24bit) will provide more resolution
(i.e. more "flaws" will be apparent).  GIGO.

People should focus on whether the music is good, not how it was
produced. It's really dumb, in my opinion, to make a fetish of gear
that old school techno artists used because it was all they could
