I guess it's a bit rich to expect everyone to be quiet at a club, I
mean everyone has the right to conversation, but sometimes it really
detracts from the moment when you can hear music AND a bazillion
conversations.

I guess I would qualify the above by saying that paying patrons also have a right to be able to hear what they have *paid* to hear. It's not that I would argue against the need and propriety of talking to people, it's that one should be able to expect that it's done with some semblance of respect to other people - and that, precisely, is the crux : we're talking about people who don't consider past their own momentary impulses regardless of the context. While I wouldn't expect others to react exactly as I do or have the same concept of what might be intrusive to others, some modicum of empathy for the persons around you isn't too much to ask IMO.
