Fact, you lose a couple of dbs when you go over that threshold, it might sound find to the average ear, but it won't be the hottest (loudest) cut possible.
Nine min. max per side if the record is cut at 45rpm. The facts as I know them are straight from our the pressing plant, Archer (Detroit).
