12 minutes is the limit for a DJ cut at 33RPM, with a fixed pitch
lathe.  If your track has some dynamics, a variable pitch lathe can go
up to 14 minutes.  A variable pitch lathe cuts deeper for loud
passages and narrower for quiet passages.

You can cut longer records but there's a cost in output volume.  Ron

+8dB louder than a standard LP is a pretty big deal.  That means your
music is over twice as loud with respect to surface noise on the
record.  Plus deeper grooves are more resistant to skipping and wear.
