That's too bad. I remember trying to find the place (and getting lots of help from the locals) the first time I was in Japan. They had a pretty nice selection. I even ended up trading mix tapes with one of the guys that worked there (Morita Takeda Taniguchi). I still listen to that mix from time to time. I also remember having lots of "fun" trying to pack/stuff several pieces of vinyl in my luggage for the trip back home.
I may be back in that area soon and had been looking forward to visiting the place again. There goes that idea... That really is a shame. I liked that store. Hopefully, this isn't an indicator of the Japanese techno scene. -ant- -----Original Message----- From: Simon Swain [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, November 26, 2007 4:55 PM To: [email protected] Subject: (313) Cisco's Demise Word on the street from Tokyo: "I know... it"s not good.. well, Cisco in Osaka is closing down, but they are combining all the stores in Tokyo into 1 store. So, there"ll be techno, house, trance, reggae in one store." Shame, I have some special memories of Cisco Techno in Shibuya.
