Yeah, I did. He's trying to get on the nu rave/retro 90s thing. It's OK for what it is. I prefer other new rave acts though like Klaxons, a guilty pleasure of mine. I guess Moby's is more electronic. I expect to hear songs on ads for the next year.

With all the arguably justifiable Moby hating going on, was curious if
anyone had actually listened to his new album and had any thoughts.

Just gave it a quick run through, sounds par for the course to me.
It's pitch-perfect for a 1994 Moby album, ie: it's terrible. Lots of
piano rolls and overpowering synth pads thrown at you from every
location. Only thing it's missing is some Helium-Pitched chipmunk
voice samples telling the raver massive to "dance!"

"Disco Lies" is probably the best of the bunch, but that's not saying
much. It's a good pop song though, and can get stuck in your head if
you aren't careful.

Expect to see these songs on 800 TV commercials in 3...2...1....

Anyway now back to Rob Hood's Fabric, so I can wash the bad moby taste
out of my ears. : )
