Hi David, Well Randy said it all actually. XL Plugin is plugin that supports both .xls and .xlsx formats. It can be used for reading and writing Excel files. You can use it to read an existing template file, insert your data in the document and save the resulting file under a new name. It has an extensive command set, with more coming (such as auto filter support). And it is fast. Writing 1 million cells with numeric values (1000 rows x 1000 columns) takes like 1.8 seconds on my MacBook Pro. Writing 1 million cells with a text value of 12 (Unicode) characters, takes like 6.6 seconds. Please let me know if you have additional questions.
