Hi Tim, 1017 is divisible as 9 x 113 (113 is prime), so I tried scaling down to 113.
They definitely look better now in Word, but still soft around the edges. Also they're 113 instead of 48 pts, which is going to be a bit large. When I try to re-size further in Word (Mac), they again look better, but are still slightly soft and pixellated. Does 4D Write handle EPS? When I try searching the 4D Write 14.4 document it won't find anything in Preview, and finds bits of other words in Adobe Reader.
