Jim, I think you are correct. Miyako also talked about this in another post some weeks ago. As I recall the deal is 4D needs to redraw the listbox but I don't recall the specifics, I'm afraid. Reminds me of a joke on an old CSNY album: "I didn't think you could tune and start on the same note."
I'm trying to think of how I deal with these sorts of things. I never seem to bump into this issue so it must be something about the way I go about adding row. Typically I separate the action of updating a listbox from navigation and user interaction. Perhaps you can modify the method a little bit to do the same.
