I assume you mean that you can annotate outside the viewable area of the svg data image? Kind of like drawing programs where the image is confined to pre-sized rectangle (artboard) and then you can place graphics, images or text outside of the rect area for whatever purposes are required. That’s likely what I will do as well. I’ll likely make the annotation area larger than the actual underlying image. Good to keep this in mind when I begin the UI design.
