One idea would be to start 4D Client (preferably a built server/client, so you have a specific .exe to use), and upon start up, use LEP to start Chrome. You can start Chrome using a specific URI in the format: "http://user:[email protected]/xxx <http://user:[email protected]/xxx>” (assuming the site you want does take URIs in that format).
Now, that last requirement is a tough one… doing as suggested, you’ll end up with Chrome at the top. Stupid question, why not use a webarea in your 4D app? That’ll give you all you want, except that the web portion will run inside a webarea, not standalone Chrome. End-user experience would be the same. hth julio > On Feb 26, 2019, at 4:44 AM, Keith Goebel via 4D_Tech <[email protected]> > wrote: > > Hi all. > We have a scenario where we want to use an exe file to start both 4D Client > (v17.0 HF3 Win) and Chrome browser. > The browser has to login to a given url with a user name and password. > Also, the 4D Client has to be in front when they have finished startup. > > Is all that possible? > If so, can you give me an idea how to do it, or point me point me in the > direction of docs that will tell me how? > TIA, Keith -- Julio Carneiro [email protected] ********************************************************************** 4D Internet Users Group (4D iNUG) Archive: http://lists.4d.com/archives.html Options: https://lists.4d.com/mailman/options/4d_tech Unsub: mailto:[email protected] **********************************************************************
