Maybe. I never worried about it before for custom and personal applications, but each version of macOS is getting more restrictive. With 10.14 certain commands called by 4D with LAUNCH EXTERNAL PROCESS stopped working. The error said you had to give access to the app in security and privacy preferences. I did that and it seemed to work for a day or two and then it would start giving the error again even though nothing had changed. I rebuilt with a developer certificate and it seems to have solved the issue.
