Don’t do this, use the latest version of 4D (17.3 HF1). Install virtualization
software with older macOS for older versions of 4D. This is what I use:

 - macOS Mojave (10.14.6) for 4D v13 and later up to latest v17 in Parallels v15

- Mac OS X Snow Leopard Server (10.6.8) for older versions of 4D (from 6.8
upwards, and even v13 and v14 works in Snow Leopard) in VMWare Fusion.

You can have the both virtual machines in one virtualization software, of
course, I kept upgrading Parallels and VMWare Fusion over the years and I have
different sets of virutal machines in each one, that is why I still use both.

I don’t know if it is still true that you could buy Snow Leopard Server for 30
Euros or dollars by calling Apple, it is not avaliable from their Web site. I
remember ending up calling number in Cork, Ireland while I was preparing a
session for Summit in Paris few years ago, for US there was toll-free number to
call. Otherwise, probably eBay and there are one I found on Amazon for almost
$300.

You need Snow Leopard Server or Leopard Server to run it in virtual
environment, I am not sure about VirtualBox, but both Fusion and Parallels will
not allow you to install client version in virtual machine because of Apple
EULA. Client versions are allowed in virtual environment from Lion upwards, but
for mer even v11 has problems running under it, not to mention older versions
of 4D.

Milan
