I signed up for the forum and had both of these issues - languages and emails.
The language issue isn't a problem for me since I discovered how to force google translate to work on those pages by a right-click on a place with no text in Chrome browser, since it is my default browser. If I get an email and want to go further, I click on the button and it takes me to the forum. For emails, there is a place in your own settings/preferences where you can have the emails sent to you, but I found the settings, amount of traffic, etc. fairly burdensome. It took me awhile to find where to set them as well. Now I still only really read the inug as the emails from the forum are too fast and furious and you can't really get a digest version.
