Hi all I have been notified of a near-miss incident at the hackerspace regarding an old (craft?) razerblade that was unexpectedly encountered under a pile of soft materal. Hidden blades can bite hard and whilst I doubt (and hope) there are not more of these about, it does hammer home the point that our beloved space might be in-need of a big tidy, for member safety if for no other reason.
I understand an effort to tidy the space followed the safety moment above, but we certianly should make that a group effort. I know I still owe some tidying up on the upper floor after wall painting and I think most folk know about a mess they can help cure. I'll be down Tues to do a big tidy and I invite you all to take part if you can. Depending on where you are tidying, armoured gloves may or may not be needed; but probably wise to assume sharp things are lurking under innocent items until the big tidy is complete.
