Hi folks! I'm looking for someone who is good at programming to rewrite some code for me!
I currently have Observium running at work and it is taking ages to poll all our devices. The poller is currently written in php. Our Cacti reduced it's poll time from over 300s to 20s when we changed from its default poller to spine poller which is written in C. There has been discussion on the Observium mailing list about this which ended up in a hissy fit and one of the devs telling someone to "fuck off" so I doubt there is going to be much progress on that front, so I thought I would see if there was any willing volunteers to take this on as I have neither the skill, patience or time at the moment to take this on! So basically I'd like the poller.php re-written in C, (or just something better) or if anyone wants to look at the php to see if they can speed it up I can pass the files along! Thanks, Carl
