It's more complicated. If you install applications and you are using GNOME and or KDE, you will have entries for new applications in the menus for both, without doing any thing yourself. Not only for applications from the 64 Studio repoistory, but also for those from the Debian Repositories, as far as I remember. If you are using a file browser, what file browser do you use with Fluxbox and was GNOME for a while parallel installed? I remember that when I used the GNOME file browser for a Fluxbox session, the session become a GNOME session.
