I had no time to work on the problems, but I guess I didn't make the
mistake ... okay, 80GB (for the IDE) and 8GB (for the USB stick) might
look the same, but if the IDE wasn't broken, I should have seen 10
partitions for the IDE and this should have been the point were I would
have been able to see that I try to have access to the IDE, instead of
the wanted USB stick.

I still make a pseudo-rest, but I'm still thinking about the causes and
read German howtos for TestDisk etc. ...

Because of the USB stick I wrote to the sellers, because I can't imagine
any mistake I, the beta3 partitioner or anybody else could have made, to
"write protect" it.

I'm feeling like I've got a HAL 9000 computer :D.
