I didn't know Mint, but after your email I've taken a look and found a niche dark mint theme for GNOME, see the screenshot http://linux.softpedia.com/screenshots/Shiki-Dark-Mint_1.jpg and keep in mind that you can customize it, if you e.g. prefer another window border.
