For daily upgrades for 'Ubuntu Software'

I enabled

    Canonical-supported Open Source software (main)
    Community-maintained Open Source software (universe)
    Proprietary drivers for devices (restricted)
Software restricted by copyright or legal issues (multiverse)

I disabled

    Source code

while for daily upgrades for 'Third-Party Software'

I enabled

    http://apt.64studio.com/backports hardy-backports main

I disabled

    cdrom 64 Studi 3.0-beta3 (1) hardy main
Medibuntu - Ubuntu 8.04 LTS "hardy heron" free non-free
Medibuntu (sources) - Ubuntu 8.04 LTS "hardy heron" free non-free
    (Source Code)

No other repositories are included to Synaptic. I'm upgrading manually
and always try to gauge if I should upgrade or not. If I e.g. enable
Medibuntu at the moment, among others, the 'alsa-firmware' package is
available as an more actual version.

There are no dependency problems for the alsa-firmware package, but
anyway, I didn't upgrade alsa-firmware.

I'm missing the possibility to get some FX, because they aren't in the
repositories and because of missing headers, it's also not possible to
compile them.

I would keep my 3.0-beta as a 3.0-beta for some packages, but e.g. for
jconv or LADSPAs I would use some alien repositories, if available.

*Any hints which repositories to use to get more LADSPA packages and
jconv and which not to use*?

*Any hints which repositories to use for daily upgrading*?
