At home I have an old dj table (Phonia is the trade mark) that have cost around 25€ in the 80's. It have analog meters, and is between the out of the sound card and the in of the amp. When you hear music, have a look sometimes to its meters, and when you do music, compare... Usefull for me ! Hope that can help to wait for Quentin's howto Meterbridge & Jkmeter.
