For newer ATI devices with "HD" in the title or the 38xx and 48xx series there is an open source driver. My DAW has an integrated ATI and I use the 2d only "ati" driver. Works quite well. The 3d fglrx regularly causes me issues, like xruns whenever the screen is significantly repainted. Personally I would stay away from the proprietary fglrx driver. If you feel that you must, it is perhaps a better idea to use the packaged version. Search for fglrx in whatever package manager you use. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.9 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkp3D5gACgkQwRXgH3rKGfOLsACeKwifst7kzWWZJtoq6ahGJhqP hi8An0E1L6mwWujVOJLftxsVUY/bjHcm =Mktu -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ 64studio-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.64studio.com/mailman/listinfo/64studio-users
