Maybe a little bit OT: The network stuff GUI didn't work for PPPoE too,
like many GUIs don't do what they should do, e.g. for the graphics too.
IIRC I need to run pppoeconf instead of using the GUI. It might be
similar for wifi. I had to do a lot of things manually, because the GUIs
don't do what they should do and some things I kept as they are, e.g.
the Updater, that can't be disabled by the GUI option that should
disable it, I guess this is only one thing more I just need to remove
from the chron jobs. Anyway, 3.0-beta3 is very stable and there are a
lot of howtos for Hardy that make it possible to bypass all that broken
Ubuntu GUIs.
