As much as these strings of massages may bother some of the members of this list, they are quite important. If you have a problem, and don't tell anyone about it, it will stay your problem. If hundreds of users have the same problem, and stay quiet about it, it will stay the problem of hundreds of users. Ralf hounds a problem until someone commits to fix the problem, and then he communicates off list with that person. I do the same thing, but being active in linux a bit longer I now know who to ask, and if that person does not know, he'll know who to ask.
