Some are going to say this intro is a little late but I believe better late
than sorry.  So here goes.
I live in the United States.  Currently in Roswell, New Mexico where the big
Alien thing happened.
I started my career in Silcon Valley -- the San Franciso Peninsular are where
Apple Computer makes its home.  I built and programmed the first computers used
in aircraft simulators.  Those were the ones that you pushed the front panel
lights to set a bit and then used Fetch, Store and Run to do something.
We had a wopping 2KB -- thats not a mis type -- of memory.  This allowed us
to "fly" all across the U.S. avoiding all the mountains and buildings.  Of
course in those days memory was a real work of art -- magnetic cores wrapped
with copper wire.  Today some little black thing is supposed to have 2MB of
memory???   What do they feed that bug that it can remember that much?
I went on to work at Shugart Disk drive.  Here a 10MB drive was
state-of-the-art.  No more big top loaders that looked like washing machines.
Not to long ago I purchased a 128MB solid state drive.  I'm not sure of its
nationality though.  Some come from SATA and others come from ATA -- where ever
those countries are located.  I did find out that the SATA SSD doesn't want to
reside with the ATA folks.
When I retired in 1992 I was working on the Bradley Fighting Vehicle in the
modern bat.tle field.  That meant that all vehicles were directed by the
Commander using the Internet as a means of communication.  Then it was
something like Space Wars.
Up until the advent of Linux in my life I trained and bred Morgan Horses.
The Morgan horse is the only native horse to the U.S. so they say.  If you want
more info go to our web site.
My wife's name is Pat.  I call her a Lepricon -- Kevin and Daniel can
appreciate that.  Yep to large a shoe and the toes turn up.  Nope she can't
even see five feet -- and getting shorter all the time.
I guess this is enough to bore you all.  But I enjoyed reading  page set up
for Team Members I though it only fitting that I respond in kind.
May God Bless You All............................    Al
