Even if there were no performance problems I don't like the idea of two sound servers running in parallel, it seems over-complicated to me. It also means that many apps will never get native JACK support now. I would have preferred the mainstream distros to run JACK in soft mode instead of adopting pulseaudio, but that's their choice.
