Actually I was talking about the EAP-AKA as someone used it as an
example that we could just use EAP, and then I said you could use
IKEv2 and used same EAP method. Also it was one of those where I knew
how many exchanges there is and that it do support mutual
authentication...

There would be other EAP methods that would be usable too, but as I am
not expert on them, I cannot say which would be best.

So soft-SIMs would be it, and no I do not expect there to be actual
SIM card in there.
