Linux benefits because:
        - more people start using it
        - Microsoft stops telling people that there might be patent
          issues in Linux.
        - Microsoft will never try to assert any patent issues against
          any open source project.
        - Microsoft stops trash-talking Linux

In short, it's just one more step in our main goal for Linux.
