What do other 909/951'ers think about these ideas?
(1) Show and Tell: At the next meet, each of us brings something
interesting to share with the other members. You name it -- a hack
tool, a new distro, some cool *nix implementation at work, how you got
out of some recent s(h)ituation, etc. When it's your turn, you spend
time telling the rest of the group about your cool shiznit.
(2) Weekly / Biweekly / Monthly Conference Call: Using something like
Skype, FreeConferenceCall.com, or a SIP-based phone, we could have
virtual meetings. We could tie this into some IRC channel for sensory
overload. If we did (1), then some of us could perhaps figure out how
to temporarily share our screen with the others.
