At first glance, well, for most of us, why not ...

Here's why not (these are only the ones coming into focus for me right
now, the ones I've chosen to not comment on may be just as important):

The Netherlands send an extremely small amount of spam. They have a
large webhosting presence, and many Netherlands sites on the 'net work
in US Dollars and have .com domains. Many legitimate sites. Because
of The Netherlands' culture, many porno sites are posted there. Block
the Netherlands and you block many of your porn-loving users from
getting their passwords. Depending on how you feel about porn, that
may be a good thing or a bad thing.

So none of your users ever have to hear from Microsoft?

Some real people have roadrunner email addresses. You should be
blocking based on roadrunner return addresses that don't come from
roadrunner, but not from roadrunner. Unless you want to balkanize the
'net.

I guess you're never going to Carnival at Rio? You'll never get to meet
the "Girl from Ipanema" <smile>.

See "roadrunner", above. You may block half the people in Riverside on
this list as well.

The U.S. sends more spam than China. Why not just unplug your server?

See "China", above.

Note that we host email for lots of domains, some of them even located
in some of these countries. So our mileage may be very different from
yours.
