Employers get so many resumes these days (someone can teach me how to put the accent over the e using a linux desktop <smile>), that they have the upper hand and can do, and often do, anything they want. You probably don't want to hear this, but I'm guessing that out of the possibly thousands of resumes he gets, you were lucky to get interviewed.
