I use WAMP in my lab. Its a similar project. Apache on Windows basically. It came about after i had some frustrations getting PHP to work on IIS.

Yes and no. Yes - it is possible (and quite easy), as you know. No - the company wants everything one hosted box for now until they grow. It's the sort of thing that if I had my way and I had control over the network and hardware, then I'd make one Linux box and one doze box.
