Love the link :D, but textwrangler is free. GPL text editors is what he is specifically looking for. I have used several KDE editors through the X11 server and darwinports. As soon as KDE4 comes out running on QT4(it is in alpha, and doesn't completely work :( ) I will prolly use it a lot more than I do now! Kate is a great editor.
