I've been away for a while and I see that the list has become troll-infested in my absence. Not that there aren't still plenty of intelligent people around, but the signal to noise ratio has passed a certain critical threshold. In general I prefer places where most of the people who reply to posts have read them, and perhaps even attempted to think about them. Some of you may remember when 9fans used to work like that. -- John Stalker School of Mathematics Trinity College Dublin tel +353 1 896 1983 fax +353 1 896 2282
