If you have problems with your onboard Ethernet device you might want to purchase an additional PCMCIA Ethernet card or a USB Ethernet device like the Arkview USB G1000.[0] See the 'Supported PC Hardware' page on the wiki and/or search 9fans. IIRC you can turn on MP support by editing your plan9.ini file.
