Go has already been ported by Taru, a fact noted in the thread on golang-nuts where you announced your intention to try to port Go a little while ago. Is it so hard as that to see how she did it? I have struggled with various compiles myself and reached the conclusion that any such struggling is pointless when there's any other way, so it's a bit painful to watch you struggling to duplicate work already done.
