mk. probably the main problem with mash was that for various reasons we lost contact with its source from the start (nothing to do with either us or brucee, or oz, or with mash for that matter). nmake? ha ha, ha ha ha ha. it's the way you tell them! i don't think any of them is quite right, though, but mk survives and i've not really fleshed out anything better. possibly thinking about dependencies, variants, etc etc might help do that, but more likely it will just make me feel a little bored.
