Pardon me for be a doubting Thomas, but that screenshot looks a hell of a lot like a VNC session. You know, with the X cursor in the top of the window and the default X background behind it, and TWM providing window decorations. Now, having file:/net/ open in one of the windows, I don't know what's up :) I'm sorry for being skeptical, but that's what I'm seeing.
