Nothing wrong with getting sick over it. Others may well be sick
'bout the other side of the coin. So what?

The fact is that the question was posed and we offered our insights
and experiences, and links and articles on the subject, from savvy
industry sources. Now it is up to him to choose, armed with
knowledge. That's that.

Anyone using a Windows OS should stay abreast of the patches provided
or face the risks, that's reality. Armed with this knowledge he can now make an
informed choice. Linux users encounter risks as
well, but the patches are immediately forthcoming, & that makes a difference.

I don't have XP. 2K Pro works well for me and IMO it is better than
XP, after all, 2K is up to SP4. XP has a ways to go to catch up.
It'll get there...and then..., Longhorn and its own set of patches.

Don't get too enamoured with XP. <GRIN>

"On average, 10.3% of the Windows XP-based machines will have an
issue of some degree with SP2," said Steve O'Halloran, managing
director of AssetMetrix Research Labs. "Or better put, they have the
'opportunity' for an issue to arise."
