Yes, it may be less expensive but, on groups such as this we will be told that XP Home is less stable, dare I use the word that its more "buggy" than XP Pro. I have seen here in the UK where some laptops that are being sold do have XP Pro. You have supplied the answer, XP Home is cheaper. I wonder if with some they would allow the purchaser to have that option, XP Home or XP Pro. I dont see that it has any reference to whether the purchaser is a home user or not, the point in issue is reliability, I know you will agree. As you say, it may work differently here in the UK.
