As far as I am aware jhanel, this is not a group exclusively for XP users, the
description reads:

Paula has as much right to be in this group as you do, if you only wish to read
discussions about XP
perhaps "you" should think of joining an XP group or better still a Pontiac
2005 GTO group and if
the latter is "the same as Windows" I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
You haven't the time to waste on installing a scanner that doesn't support W98
but on the other hand
a W98 user might not have the time to upgrade to XP, buy and install more ram
to run it, try to
fathom out the new OS and at the same time search for new drivers for all their
peripherals. W98
will no doubt eventually fade away into the sunset along with 3.11 & W95 but
until that time have
some respect for it because without it you would not have XP.

More power to you. Its like those guys that try to start their 72 Pontiac's
in the cold weather and end up taking the bus. They won't give up. Me I
haven't the time to waste on trying to install a scanner that doesn't
support win98 or a new program. If it works for you good for you. I do feel
that by running obsolete equipment and os's you should be in your own forum
that specifically deals with the problems of that OS. Win 98 has about as
much in common with XP as that 1972 Pontiac has with the new 2005 GTO the
same name (Windows).
