NTLDR is the Windows NT(XP) bootloader program file. It is the first file that the system looks for to start the operating system. Your system has created a valid partiton and boot record, and the partiton is set to active, but NTLDR isn't present. 1) Make sure no floppy diskettes are in the system. 2) Use the recovery console to manually copy the NTLDR file: - Boot the Windows XP setup disck - Choose R - Wait, then press 1 and ENTER - Type d: [ENTER] cd i386 ENTER] copy ntldr c:\ntldr ENTER] exit [ENTER] 3) Setup should now continue.
